Superb lake and mountain views over undulating terrain ending at Jack's Point Clubhouse, note this trail has tight corners and steep pitches
This spectacular track is not for the fainthearted! At Kelvin Grove leave the trail and follow Peninsula Road before turning right onto Poplar Drive. Rejoin the trail inside Jardine Park. Prepare for steep climbs and descents and some tight bends – you may need to get off and push your bike for a few minutes. Please note, this is an Advanced Ride.
This is indeed, a ride for those wanting to get off the beaten track. The last 3kms are particularly steep and technical. Riding across an abundance of wild tussocks and natural schist through this Lord Of The Rings landscape, you’ll feel like you have the place to yourself.
Arriving at Jack’s Point is a well-earned reward. Just a 15 minute drive from Queenstown Central, this 3,000 acre settlement and resort village is other-worldy. It encompasses a world-class golf course, homes and restaurant.
Be sure to stop for a well-earned coffee for the ride home. Or indulge in a superb long lunch and arrange transport for the return journey.
