The Queenstown Trails Trust is encouraging Queenstown businesses to support the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Aotearoa Bike Challenge in February which aims to get more people on bikes.
It's easy to get involved, simply register, ride for 10 minutes or more, recruit your friends or colleagues and win great prizes!

Local Biking Events
We've joined forces with a number of local organisations to host a series of events in January and February which are designed to raise awareness of the Aotearoa Bike Challenge and inspire people to get involved:
Thursday 26th - UPfront Bike.
A short-form speaker event featuring bike related talks and discussion with local personalities Alexa Forbes, Tony Moore, Timmy Heather, Campbell Read, Paul Earnshaw and Sarah Lyttle at the Front Room Gallery, Memorial Street, Queenstown, the show starts at 7.30pm. Friday 3rd – On The Beach, a cycling art exhibition by Beach & Otto von Beach at Cycle Higher, 9b Earl St, Queenstown, 9am-7pm daily during February. For more info www.cyclehigher.com/art-inspiration/
Monday 6th – I Love My Bike! Free bike maintenance session. Learn the basics of bike maintenance from the experts. At Cycle Higher, 9b Earl St, Queenstown, 6-7pm.Limited to 10 ppl, just turn up or call the shop to book a place – 03 442 9559.
Wednesday 8th - Go By Bike Day. Leave the car at home and try cycling to work or school. It's easy, fun and costs nothing! No need to register, just do it!
Sunday 12th – Queenstown Park Station Recreational Bike Ride Day. A fun and relaxed social ride and picnic through Queenstown Park Station. This is a free event and pre-registration is essential, visit www.remarkablespark.com/community or call 03 442 3084 to register.
Tuesday 14th – Cycle Speed Dating. Celebrate Valentines Days in style - meet like-minded people during this relaxed and fun cycling dating night. For anyone who likes bikes.
